The SCCA Annual Black-Tie (A.B.T) gala dinner and Chief Legal Officer Awards is a prestigious event that takes place in Singapore annually - and it's back again for 2024!
This year, the SCCA will celebrate its 22ⁿᵈ Anniversary and play host to an expected turnout of 270 esteemed guests.
The evening will be a celebration of SCCA's achievements for the year and to confer the 8ᵗʰ Chief Legal Officer Awards to high-achieving in-house counsel that have made significant contributions to their organisations. By recognising their contributions, the SCCA aims to inspire and encourage other legal professionals to strive for excellence in their roles.
In addition to the Chief Legal Officer Awards, this year will also mark the inaugural presentation of the HOPE Award.
The SCCA's HOPE Award recognises outstanding pro bono contributions by legal departments that have made a significant positive impact on the community.
Beyond the recognition of individual achievements, the A.B.T gala dinner also aims to foster a sense of community among legal professionals in Singapore. The event serves as the perfect opportunity to meet members in an exuberant and fun social setting, allowing attendees to connect with their peers, exchange ideas, and build valuable professional relationships. It promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing, contributing to the overall growth and development of the legal profession in Singapore.
The A.B.T gala dinner will be an elegant event, with a specially curated menu, wine pairings, and wonderful guests. Celebrate with us as SCCA embarks on the final flagship event for the year.
The Singapore Chief Legal Officer Award 2024 is back for a eighth iteration, recognising the significant achievements of outstanding legal professionals in Singapore.
Chief Legal Officers have been showcasing exemplary leadership skills in many leading organisations this year as the world gets back on its feet. Within organisations, the legal departments had to work under extreme pressures and produce results that would sustain employment, business longevity, and manage the well-being of colleagues.
Award Categories & Eligibility
1) Chief Legal Officer of a Singapore Company/Business
A Singapore company or regional (i.e., ASEAN) company with its primary business operations in Singapore.
2) Chief Legal Officer (Regional) of a Global MNC
A Global MNC with its regional headquarters in Singapore.
3) Chief Legal Officer of a Public Entity
An NGO/public-sector entity, organisation or company.
*Nominees must have been in the role for at least 2 years before the date of nomination.
