Prof V Jesudevan is the CEO of TradeKins a global consultancy specialising in compliance training, capacity building, crisis management, and internal investigations. He has almost two decades of extensive legal and regulatory experience. He was previously a criminal prosecutor and a Deputy Senior State Counsel with the Singapore Attorney- General’s Chambers’ (the “AGC”) specialist financial crimes team where he led the prosecution of a wide range of financial crimes and counterproliferation initiatives.

Concurrently, he is an Adjunct Professor at the National University of Singapore and the Singapore Management University, where he teaches ‘Compliance and Risk Management’ to both undergraduates and experienced industry professionals pursuing postgraduate programs, and International Anti-Corruption Law & Practice; courses which he personally designed.

As a prosecutor, Jesu had worked closely with several Singapore government agencies including the Singapore Commercial Affairs Department and the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau to investigate, among others, complex fraud, export control violations, corruption, money-laundering, and securities related offences. Jesu also chaired AGC’s Innovation Network, which was tasked with creating a culture of innovation.

Notably, Jesu is a recognised specialist in the area of export controls and UN sanctions, with a special focus on Iran and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. He worked closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Trade & Industry, Singapore Customs, and the Maritime Port Authority of Singapore as well as foreign counterparts, when he advised on Singapore’s international obligations.

Given his expertise, Jesu is an internationally sought after thought leader in the field of compliance, and financial crimes and has presented at numerous conferences and seminars on these subjects. Recently, he was recognized as an Expert by the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA), Expertise France, and serves as Singapore’s representative (nominated by the Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs) to the EUP2P’s working group in connection to a global publication on dual-use goods trade controls.

Jesu previously worked in one of Singapore’s largest law firm where he specialised in complex dispute resolution and arbitration. Prior to joining the AGC, he served as a District Court Judge.
A Fulbright Scholar, Jesu holds a Master of Laws from New York University, where he focused on compliance and risk management. Jesu was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2005.

With over 15 years of dedicated experience, Paul is a seasoned expert in financial crime investigations, risk management, and compliance. Concurrently, Paul is an Adjunct Associate Trainer at SPCS Consultancy and delivers customized courses for law enforcement agencies and
ministries in Singapore. A former Senior Officer at the Singapore Police Force, Paul led and
oversaw numerous witness interviews and investigations, including complex fraud, and money laundering offences, at the Commercial Affairs Department. During his time in the Commercial Crime Squad of Central Police Division, Paul worked on a range of complex investigations including corporate fraud and misconduct relating to financial institutions. He also worked closely with both local and foreign law enforcement counterparts. Paul also worked at Amazon as a Risk Manager in the Escalations Management & Prevention Team. There he played a pivotal role in managing critical brand-related escalations globally, focusing on abuse and fraud. His role involved assessing cross-border fraud and abuse patterns, leading investigations that spanned different regulatory environments, and collaborating with internal teams to enhance global risk controls. Paul holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Cross-Border Business and Finance Law in Asia from Singapore Management University, as well as a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from the University of London. He is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).

Hermanus is a seasoned trade compliance expert with over 15 years of experience. His experience in engineering, manufacturing, R&D, procurement, and logistics has given him a broad perspective in the understanding of trade control regulations.

Over the course of his career, Hermanus has advised C-suite and other senior executives, handled government enquiries, implemented multiple automated screening systems, introduced Internal Compliance Programme, carried out audits, and trained key stakeholders in Sales, Procurement, R&D and Logistics. He interacted with teams from the US and Europe, as well as within Asia where he provided leadership and advice.

As Head of Corporate Global Trade Management at a leading semiconductor equipment manufacturer, he had kept C-suite executives appraised on key trade regulation updates, and provided advice and guidance. He built a global team of trade compliance professionals located in Asia, Europe and the US, provided inputs on strategic initiatives, and conducted due diligence during M&A process.

In recognition of his accomplishments and leadership in trade compliance while working in an American multinational company, Hermanus received the Award for Excellence, the highest award for an individual within the company for trade compliance.

Hermanus is a graduate of the University of Birmingham in Electronic and Computer Engineering. He obtained his Master of Business Administration from the University of Hull.
