SCCA Pro Bono Chapter is proud to be part of the Great Singapore Give and SG Cares Giving Week campaign organised by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre.
As part of the Great Singapore Give and SG Cares Giving Week, there are 3 main activities planned:
1. Dream Big, Dream On
2. The Artground
3. Image Mission
Registration deadline: 29 November 2024
As we enter the holiday season, come join us for a meaningful morning, and possibly watch some very big dreams take root!
SCCA is partnering with Clyde & Co to host a Career Day for more than 50 children and youth (primary/secondary students) from underprivileged backgrounds. The "Dream Big, Dream On" initiative, organized by Care Singapore and Ties of Love, aims to empower children to pursue their dreams and to aspire to careers as big as they can dream.
Volunteers: We are looking for a small group of volunteers from SCCA to share their own career journeys to inspire the children to fearlessly reach for their dreams no matter where they are starting from. Volunteers will also join the children in experiencing a Day in the Life of a Lawyer. Together with lawyers from Clyde & Co, the volunteers will help recreate a tension-filled mediation session and a high stakes M&A deal to allow the students to role play as lawyers. Acting experience is not required but volunteers are expected to draw on their own experience as in-house lawyers to assume the (best and of course most important) role of The Client.
Charity: CARE's mission is to help youths succeed. Every person is useful and has something positive to contribute.
At-risk youths can be social assets instead of social liabilities. By being there for those who need a little more support, we can help change their future. Archimedes famously said, Give me a fulcrum and I will move the world.
CARE's chosen fulcrum is working with AT-RISK YOUTHS.
Note: This volunteering opportunity is open to all with a heart for children (regardless of qualification and experience) and will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. You will receive an email from SCCA if your participation is confirmed.
